#OOTD : Royal Ascot 2015

So it's a bonus blog post this week as I went to Ascot and dressed up super girly so I thought I would show you what I wore for the event. It was a last minute thing so I literally had 24 hours notice and no time to plan nice photos for the blog (hence wonderful weeds in the background!!). It was literally a drop, stop and ask my mum to take photos before my taxi arrived kind of shoot!

I also had to go out a buy a dress and fascinator the night before as I had nothing to wear so all in all I'm pretty happy with my whole look - thankfully the shops were still open after work!

So it's worth noting my hair colour first and foremost. It already had a washed up blue and green tone to it as I don't normally do a full block colour however I knew for Ascot I probably wouldn't get away with grungey hair and exposed roots, so I bought some La Riche Directions hair dye in the colour Turquoise to re-do it with! It was certainly vibrant!

I got my dress from the outlet centre in Swindon from Monsoon - it was a steal! Coincidentally my hair colour matched perfectly!

I got my fascinator from TK Maxx by the brand Emma B.

My shoes I already had and they are from Primark. I decided to add very minimal jewellery and wore my leather jacket - I had to get me in the outfit somewhere! Ha!

It was a wonderful experience and the atmosphere was electric. All the men looked dapper and the ladies all looked glamorous in their hats and fascinators. The only let down was the weather...especially after the last race! I'm glad I was fortunate to go and would love to go again.

Another thing ticked off the bucket list!

I took a few photos on my phone so just incase you haven't seen them on my social channels I thought I would share them with you below.
