24 Hours in Brighton

So I went on a short road trip to Brighton yesterday with a good friend and I have to say, it was bloody marvellous. I had never been before and always wanted an opportunity to go and explore! I love the sea and always find myself relaxing when I visit such places. It's also completely unique for a city in the UK and I have heard that there is no where else in the UK quite like Brighton. We didn't plan much of an itinerary before the trip as we weren't sure what the weather would be like, but we did ask friends for recommendations on stuff to do!

We booked a room at the Motel Schmotel - a unique and small B&B on Russell Square. It was fabulous - check out our complimentary breakfast (we got it delivered to us in bed!)

The B&B was the perfect location for us to start our Brighton adventure - right near the seafront and close to shops and other amenities. We walked down to Brighton seafront - the sun was amazing and I loved the smell of the sea and fish and chips! We walked to the pier and played in the arcade and sat on deck chairs. Oh and bought some rock as well!

I was keen to explore more so we wandered around the shopping areas such as The Lanes and North Laine - highly recommend if you like boutiques and antique shopping! We walked everywhere!

Colourful Houses Brighton

How amazing are these row of houses! I love that each one has it's own identity and character!

Brighton Graffiti

There was a lot of pretty graffiti about - nothing disrespectful - but real pieces of art and really tasteful decoration to everyday objects. A lot of electric boxes had amazing graffiti on them - this one was my favourite! Litter Hero!

On a recommendation we visited an amazing chocolatier called Choccowoccydoodah where I sampled an amazing Dark Hot Chocolate.... yummmmmmy. They specialise in fabulous cakes as well and had many on display. I made a collage of my favourite cakes below.

It was a cram-packed 24 hours and but worth the achey feet in the end! I was so pleased to have visited and it definitely won't be the last time for me! I said at the beginning of the year I wanted to travel more, especially in the UK as we have amazing places here, so I'm pleased that my new adventure was a success!

Until next time Brighton :)
