The start of Lent... What are you giving up?

Ok so today is the first day of lent.

Now I'm not a religious person so am not doing this for religious purposes however I do believe in the idea of lent and why people do it. Every year I try to give something up that I enjoy eating to see how I cope without it. Normally it's a type of food that I am currently obsessed with and know is not the healthiest for me. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to give up and if any of you follow me on Instagram you will know that I eat a lot of chocolate- mostly Kinder Eggs and Malteaster Bunnies. So I figured I should decide to give up... CHOCOLATE :(

I'm not gonna lie, it's going to be hard! but in the long run it will be worth it as i'll save on my pennies as well as my calorie intake!

Day 1 has already been a struggle as there were chocolate biscuits in my team meeting today at work. I resisted but I was tempted! Ha!

.....Only 6 weeks of this left!.... Place your bets now on how long I will last!

I'll keep you updated on my progress on here and let you know if I have any near misses! ;)
